ICIC And “Inner City 100” Back in the News

As our regular customers know, ColorFX printing was a proud recipient of the ICIC’s — Initiative for a Competitive Inner City — award for the 100 Fastest Growing Urban Businesses in America. Now, ICIC is back in the news announcing a strategic alliance with Next Street, the first merchant bank for urban enterprise, to accelerate the implementation of economic development strategies in low-income areas of U.S. cities. ICIC founder, Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter called the partnership “a deep and ongoing collaboration” when it was announced at the Inner City Economic Summit, held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. “Next Street shares ICIC’s vision, and will allow scaling of solutions around the country.” Access to growth — and capital — remain a challenge for many inner city businesses. ColorFX is proud to be an ICIC recipient, as many ICIC successful ICIC recipients have higher productivity rates and lower debt that the average US corporation.  For more information on all the services and specials offered by ColorFX,  phone us toll free at  (877) 763-7671.

Coming Highlights From Graph Expo 2012

Heidelberg is one of the printing industry’s main suppliers of equipment, including to printers like us. And one of the key trade shows for the printing equipment industry is the annual Graph Expo coming in October of this year. In this space, throughout fall, we’ll be presenting occasional highlights from the Expo itself, and from Heidelberg, a company to watch in terms of seeing where trends are headed in printing and design.  One coming highlight, announced in advance by the Heidelberg company, is the modeling of a new multi-platform print campaign that “takes the ‘digital or offset’ question off the table, and makes cross-platform color matching its centerpiece.” In other words, brand identity — and corporate colors — can stay constant on everything from large in-store signs to point of purchase displays, and even tags and packaging — regardless of the printing process used. Heidelberg will be debuting new aspects of this “print-thru” style campaign at the Expo, but you don’t have to wait. Color FX can help guide you through this multi-platform visual consistency for your own customers.  Contact us today at (877) 763-7671.

The Immortals: Book about the Life of Armenians

Honoring a Visionary

I have had the distinct pleasure of participating in a unique project that has exposed me to the extraordinary mind of a patriot, a visionary, and a benevolent individual who has devoted her vast resources and endless energy to educate the world about Armenian life in the mythical land of Persia. She accomplishes this with a book that is filled with historical photographs, biographies, myths, narrations, and stories that captivate the audience.

The book titled “The Immortals” is the third publication in a series of documentaries exposing Armenian culture, Armenian life worldwide and in Persia. In this book, she introduces the Armenian intellectual and influential figures who lived and struggled in Persia and were instrumental in paving the road for generations of Armenians to prosper and be loved.

Publication of this book has been made possible by the brilliant work of the author; Mrs. Alice Navasargian, the artistic expertise of a professional designer; Mr. Gagik Oganesyan, and the talents of printing craftsman Mr. Ross Avedissian. The end result is the production of a beautifully bound, hard cover historical book that is a must have for every Armenian family.

It is noteworthy to mention that Mrs. Navasargian has donated the proceeds from the sale of 300 copies of this marvelous treasure to the Western Diocese of Armenian Church. In addition, she continues to offer her generosity to any/all Armenian non-profit organizations.

We are honored and grateful for her trust in our abilities to take part in the publication of this priceless treasure, and would like to extend our sincerest wishes for her wellness, and hope that she will continue her work in identifying the Armenian Heritage.

Ross Avedissian,
CEO, Color Fx, Inc.

First Presentation and Book Signing Event

After much anticipation and hard work, the 530 page hand-bound book was officially blessed and entered into the archives of the Armenian Historical documentaries at a blissful evening at the Western Diocese of Armenian Church of North America’s “Nazareth & Sima Kalaydjian Hall” on the 28th day of June, 2012 at 7:30 pm.

Ist presentation of the book was a real success for Author / Publisher Mrs. Alice Navasargian, over 500 people gathered in Kalaydjian Hall to buy the book and have Mrs. Alice Navasargian to sign the book for them and to be part of a historical day.

The master of ceremony for the evening was Mr. Hayk Madoyan who eloquently described the author’s vision and purpose for publishing this valuable treasure.

Archbishop Hovnan Derderian anointed the book by following the traditional practice of pouring blessed wine over the pages. Mrs. Navasargian and Mr. Avedissian were also invited to participate.

The invitees were treated to few musical and theatrical performances by local artists.

Mrs. Navasargian expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the organizers of the event and the guests, and spoke of her keen desire to continue her efforts in exploring the Armenian heritage and history in Persia.

Those who wished to purchase a copy were given the opportunity to have their book signed by the author. Proceeds from the sale of all 300 copies were donated to Western Diocese of Armenian Church.

Mrs. Navasargian is expected to appear in several other book signing events in the country and abroad.

We wish the best for the Author/Publisher.
